What a lovely weekend we had, thanks mainly to the NBS team and the wonderful hospitality that your members gave to all who attended. From Janice and I many thanks for the lovely weekend and we sent a THANK YOU card to the NBS through Roy Cooke. You made us proud of you; well done.

Can I just say a few words as publicity officer of this event. I really enjoyed the weekend and was there all 3 days from erecting the staging to taking it down, and I have to say we had a good set of members helping.



I do not know where Margaret Bowman gets her energy from. She was in charge of the raffles and I think she took nearly £700 for the BS,which was one hell of an effort. The proudest man in the UK was Charlie Bowman being made vice president of the BS, he was actually lost for words. He is a non GC member so it just shows our society is very democratic and open to all. It couldn't have gone to a nicer bloke! The NBS are very proud of you Charlie.



The man I feel for is Roger Carr for all his hard work organising the Woking event and now this, his reward, is to be kicked off the GC such a waste of experience. Such is democracy!



Our security team of Kyle Kime, Geof Kime and Colin Wright who must have been frozen on those nights they were looking after things.



Adrian Richards worked wonders in organising and running the sales birds and trade stands and gala entertainment which went down tremendously well.



In the show as I said we had some wonderful help and we had some great laughs special mention to director Don Rowell and secretary Brian Batey.


It should be mentioned that Brian took a photo of the best in show, taken by Mick Freakley and had it printed on the catalogues. I think this was a brilliant idea well done Brian and Mick. The NBS leads the way!!!!!!



Gaile Clark and Linda Heighton were helping anyone and everyone, great lasses.



The BS and NBS put this event on together and I just wonder what has to be done to get more bums on seats, this event was put on to get the membership together but we still have many who do not want to know, but will still criticise. Sad but true!
